We are excited to offer a unique and individualized Arabic learning play group where your children will have the opportunity to be immersed in spoken and written formal(fusha) Arabic. We will begin by teaching them the alphabet so they can decode words and eventually read the Quran inshallah, regardless of level and primary language.

Teacher Arwa has a bachelor’s in Children Development from California State University East Bay. She has a diploma in using Montessori methods from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA. Lastly, she did her training at the Mary Meta Lazarus Child Development Center at the college of San Mateo applying a project approach curriculum. In addition, she taught preschool at a well-established school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for almost 5 years.

The playgroup will meet on multiple days at the WVMA.

We will utilize different methods to teach children how to read and write while taking care of other developmental needs.
